Template namespace

[edit]

Since this content is only used in WT:BP, shouldn't it be under WT:BP, e.g. at Wiktionary:Beer parlour/timeline? (BTW, I added the "noinclude" tags above and below here because I'm not sure whether you intend to include this template talk page from somewhere. If so, I'm even more confused.) Rod (A. Include the talk page? Absolutely not - I was just experimenting with the format of the change I'm proposing.
I have no preference as to location of the template. It seems intuitive enough in the template namespace (as it appears on the top of each archive, as well as BP itself.) --Connel MacKenzie T C 17:22, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wiktionary:Beer parlour archive subpages

[edit]

Currently, there are two different naming schemes for Beer parlour archives:

  1. "Beer parlour archive/", month name, space then two-digit year.
  2. "Beer parlour archive/", four-digit year, slash then month name.

For the sake of consistency, I think that all Beer parlour archives should use the same naming scheme. I have a proposal different from both possibilities:

"Beer parlour archive/", month name, space then four-digit year.

That way, it is a little more intuitive because "January 2010" is how this month is labelled (as L1 header) at the Beer parlour itself. Furthermore, if possible I'd like to avoid any title containing Wiktionary:Beer parlour archive/2010/ since this piece of text looks like the introduction of a subpage of a page that doesn't exist. --Daniel. 08:20, 7 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'd rather have all the archives set up as Wiktionary:Beer parlour archive/year/Month. I could also see Wiktionary:Beer parlour archive/2009 as being a somewhat useful directory if it's set up similar to Wiktionary:Beer parlour/timeline, if anyone wants to build it at some point. --Yair rand 22:48, 7 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've moved all the pages that did not use that format. - -sche (discuss) 19:10, 15 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
