The 2020 orthography manual is available online – should we use it?
[edit]The latest orthography of the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) on Ilocano, Tarabay iti Ortograpia ti Pagsasao nga Ilokano (Guide to the Orthography of the Ilocano Language), was released in December 2021
I cannot find any 2021 "Tarabay iti Ortograpia ti Pagsasao nga Ilokano", however the 2020 "Manwal iti Naurnos a Panagsurat iti Ilokano" is available here (I managed to scan a QR code from its physical book in a public library, and it directed me to that link.).

- @Ysrael214 I would insist that the 2018/2021 orthography should still be used for WT entries. Even though the 2020 orthography is the one used in the mother-tongue multilingual education material, much Ilocano material is still written in the 2018/2021 orthography, not to mention some opposition from Ilocano writers' associations to the new orthography. - Never mind my previous reply, I think MLE material is now also using the 2018/2021 system instead. Well, G Translate also uses 2018/2021 spelling system for Ilocano. TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 02:22, 16 June 2024 (UTC)
- Sure, let's use that.
- Since the 2021 version is now available online, I guess it's safe to edit the "Until copies of the current 2021 orthography are easily available" part of this page.
- I also suggest we should have an Ilocano version of
