• Made a sysop today, if I typed the right number of a's - is it Icelandic that has a word with four ä's in a row? It's in the Guinness Book of Records... "jääääre", I think, meaning "the edge of the ice". Does "Jaaari" mean the same in Finnish? — Paul G 16:47, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

  No, Jaaari doesn't mean anything in Finnish (see User_talk:Jaaari#Thanks) and the edge of the ice would be "jään reuna". There are, however, some Finnish words that have three a's in a row, for example the inflected forms of vaaka. --Jaaari 10:27, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
