Simplified Yanzipang
[edit]- Discussion moved from User:Suzukaze-c.
I see your edit at [1], which I believe had the effect of making "zh-l|訁
" produce the simplified form of yanzipang in zh-l such that it looks like this: "訁/讠 (yán)". However, the definition on the 言字旁 page still only has the traditional form such that when you input this: "zh-character component|訁
" it produces this: "The Chinese character component 訁/讠.". I wish it would automatically produce "The Chinese character component 訁/讠.", but I don't know how hard that would be to do- the problem would seem to be in linking "zh-character component" template with the Module:zh/data/st list in some way. What do you think I should do? Thanks! --Geographyinitiative (talk) 05:43, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
- On closer inspection of the code of
{{zh-character component}}
, it seems like the simplified form was disabled on purpose:{{zh-l|*{{{1|}}}}}

*
in. It's probably because I didn't want it to show the pronunciation, in which case|tr=-
would've been better. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 02:16, 18 January 2019 (UTC)
