Remove Category:Japanese terms spelled with jukujikun and give categorization to t:ja-kanjitab

@Huhu9001: Thank you for the ping! As best I can tell from the template's history, this has been adding that category to any entry that uses the template since it was first created in early June 2016. I think the bigger issue is that the template's documentation isn't very clear about where this template shouldn't be used. For the specific instance at the 桜ん坊 entry, that should link to the glossary term jukujikun at Appendix:Japanese glossary#jukujikun, but shouldn't use the template {{ja-jukujikun}}.
I'll have a go at the 桜ん坊 entry for starters. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 05:30, 28 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Eirikr: No. This is not the only problem. Entries like 明日, 太刀, etc. are categorized as both Category:Japanese terms read with jukujikun and Category:Japanese terms spelled with jukujikun. Obviously t:juku and t:ja-kanjitab are fighting over categories. -- Huhu9001 (talk) 06:37, 28 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
Ah, yes, point taken. Rather that jukujikun is by nature a kind of reading, not spelling, I think the behavior of {{ja-kanjitab}} in applying Category:Japanese terms read with jukujikun is correct, while {{ja-jukujikun}} is adding the incorrect category.
I agree with your proposal to remove the categorization from {{ja-jukujikun}}. I think we (the editors) should go through Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:ja-jukujikun to fix wording as needed and to ensure that {{ja-kanjitab}} on those pages is appropriately specifying a jukujikun reading. Perhaps we could add a specific sortkey to help us identify entries in Category:Japanese terms spelled with jukujikun that have been checked. Once all entries are cleaned up, we can then safely remove the categorization from the template, and then delete the Category:Japanese terms spelled with jukujikun category page itself. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 08:02, 28 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Poketalker What's your opinion? -- Huhu9001 (talk) 06:22, 18 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Huhu9001: after reading this, got no problem with removing this template for a small error in grammar/sense. ~ POKéTalker17:04, 18 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
