Usage notes

[edit]

This paradigm matches to Faroese nouns like akur, where the -ur is not a suffix, but part of the stem, while the U omits in the inflection. Note in the following example, that there is no first stem consonant in "akur", but it starts with the stem vowel!

  1. - (first part of the stam)
  2. a (stem vowel)
  3. k (second part of the stem)
  4. r (ending letter of the stem)
  5. ø (umlaut)
