New format (December 2010)
[edit]This new format is based on that used for German adjectives (see gut#German).
Please place below any comments about the format or grammar as applied generally. —Saltmarshαπάντηση 06:16, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
- The template looks good. The only comment I have is about the comparative forms with πιο and the relative superlative forms, where we have in fact a duplication of declensions already presented in the table. Maybe it would be enough to mention the nominatives in three genders. Thus we'd be saved the trouble of wondering whether to include or not the vocatives. --flyax 13:23, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
- I had been thinking that the πιο forms were not always applicable (in English you cannot say "more good" - or at least it does not sound correct). If it is universal, I'll rejig the form. —Saltmarshαπάντηση 15:13, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
- I cannot guarantee that forms with πιο are are always applicable but I cannot think of an exception right now. However, this was not my point. My thought was that the part of the template with these forms could contain only one line, just to show that these forms exist. --flyax 21:08, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
- Yes - I took on board you original point - I was just wondering how to "syntax" the template. Perhaps by setting a flag when a periphrastic form did not exist. I'll work on it! —Saltmarshαπάντηση 06:59, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

Updated new format (January 2011)
[edit]The following changes have been made:
- unnecessary and repetitios πιο forms have been removed
- a case/number/gender label has been introduced on the positive forms table
This hopefully answers points raised. —Saltmarshαπάντηση 17:08, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
head-extra needed
[edit]I think, dear mentor @Saltmarsh, an option of head-extra (overriding head) is needed. e.g. at αβλαβέστερος (comparative of αβλαβής) we have the Decl. with head positive forms of. Perhaps (I am copying from verbs)
- {{#if:{{{head-extra|}}}| ({{{head-extra|}}})
or something like that? sarri.greek (talk) 08:18, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Sarri.greek as a short term solution, and following the example of nouns, I've changed the header to "declension of …". This well obviated the need of checking and perhaps editing existing entries, new entries will not be "incorrect" if created by ignoramuses (αδαείς) like me! — Saltmarsh. 05:34, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
- Oh, your humour @Saltmarsh. It looks good! Thanks sarri.greek (talk) 05:37, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
