These templates do nothing that couldn't be replaced by {{head|el|noun form}} etc. and they are by far the worst offenders in terms of templates using invalid params; more than 5000 entries each in Category:Pages using invalid parameters when calling Template:el-adj-form and Category:Pages using invalid parameters when calling Template:el-noun-form. Delete. Ultimateria (talk) 04:07, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Also {{el-proper-noun-form}}, {{el-verb-form}}. Heads up @Saltmarsh and @Sarri.greek. Benwing2 (talk) 06:01, 5 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Benwing2, Sarri.greek Indeed they probably don't do anything that {{noun-form}} doesn't, but they do it a good deal easier. It would be more constructive to ask that offending templates with invalid parameters be corrected. As one who spend their time creating Greek lemma forms I say "please keep your mits off"!   — Saltmarsh 06:42, 6 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Delete the noun and proper noun ones. I agree with Saltmarsh that Benwing's point about invalid parameters is orthogonal to the question of deletion, but the fact that the templates can be superseded by {{head|el|___ form}} without any loss of functionality (in fact, there will be a gain in functionality by doing this!) is reason enough to delete.
Delete the adj one, but only when some aliases are added for "comparative adjective forms" and "superlative adjective forms" to avoid excessive typing.
Not sure about the verb one, as it does appear to offer some custom functionality. This, that and the other (talk) 06:33, 16 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
@This, that and the other I added 'compadj' and 'supadj' as aliases for "comparative adjective" and "superlative adjective". I also added functionality so any abbreviation 'FOO' followed by 'f' is automatically expanded to "FOO forms", e.g. 'vf' or 'verbf' expands to "verb forms" and 'compadjf' expands to "comparative adjective forms". Planning to delete these and replace with calls to {{head}}. @Saltmarsh, you can now write as little as {{h|el|nounf}} or even {{h|el|nf}} for the equivalent of {{el-noun-form}}, which is actually a lot shorter. @This, that and the other, there is no custom functionality in {{el-verb-form}} that's actually in use; the only functionality is setting |1=ind for an indeclinable verb form, which isn't actually used and in any case seems a contradiction in terms. Benwing2 (talk) 05:59, 9 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Benwing2 that parameter appears to be intended for indeclinable participles. However, it seems that these are using {{el-part}} instead, so all good to delete {{el-verb-form}}. This, that and the other (talk) 09:59, 9 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────@Benwing2, Sarri.greek Fine - but any necessary weeding will not be done by me, someone else can bot those positional parameters. The invalid parameters were created when a positional transliteration was no longer acceptable - a change (I think) not created by me.   — Saltmarsh 19:00, 9 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Deprecated. {{el-proper-noun-form}} was deleted outright while the others were deprecated due to the number of uses. Benwing2 (talk) 07:32, 13 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
