Template talk:R:Dictionary of the Scots Language

@Sgconlaw Why are there two templates ({{R:Dictionary of the Scots Language}}
and {{R:DSL}}
)? J3133 (talk) 22:56, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
- There was a dispute between editors about amendments to
{{R:DSL}}
, and it could not be satisfactorily resolved so I created a separate template. — SGconlaw (talk) 05:39, 26 May 2021 (UTC)
@Sgconlaw You deleted this template, however, it could be created to cite specifically an entry of the Dictionary of the Older Scottish Tongue (https://dsl.ac.uk/entry/dost/[entry]; compare {{R:LOGEION}}
and {{R:DMLBS}}
, both linking to https://logeion.uchicago.edu/). J3133 (talk) 22:56, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
- @J3133: why not just use the current template? Not seeing the utility of creating another template just to link to the same website. Alternatively, I suppose the DOST template could be used to link to PDFs of that dictionary at the Internet Archive – at least it would be serving a distinct purpose. — Sgconlaw (talk) 14:55, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
