Usage
[edit]This template adds a verb-conjugation table for Old Irish complex verbs, i.e. those that take a preverb and distinguish between deuterotonic and prototonic forms.
{{sga-conj-complex |present_class= |preterite_class= |future_class= |subjunctive_class= |present_1s_deut=(1st person singular present indicative deuterotonic) |present_1s_prot=( " " " " " prototonic) |present_2s_deut= |present_2s_prot= |present_3s_deut= |present_3s_prot= |present_ps_deut=(passive " " " deuterotonic) |present_ps_prot= |present_1p_deut= |present_1p_prot= |present_2p_deut= |present_2p_prot= |present_3p_deut= |present_3p_prot= |present_pp_deut=(passive plural " " deuterotonic) |present_pp_prot= |imperfect_1s_deut= |imperfect_1s_prot= |imperfect_2s_deut= |imperfect_2s_prot= |imperfect_3s_deut= |imperfect_3s_prot= |imperfect_ps_deut= |imperfect_ps_prot= |imperfect_1p_deut= |imperfect_1p_prot= |imperfect_2p_deut= |imperfect_2p_prot= |imperfect_3p_deut= |imperfect_3p_prot= |imperfect_pp_deut= |imperfect_pp_prot= |preterite_1s_deut= |preterite_1s_prot= |preterite_2s_deut= |preterite_2s_prot= |preterite_3s_deut= |preterite_3s_prot= |preterite_ps_deut= |preterite_ps_prot= |preterite_1p_deut= |preterite_1p_prot= |preterite_2p_deut= |preterite_2p_prot= |preterite_3p_deut= |preterite_3p_prot= |preterite_pp_deut= |preterite_pp_prot= |perfect_1s_deut= |perfect_1s_prot= |perfect_2s_deut= |perfect_2s_prot= |perfect_3s_deut= |perfect_3s_prot= |perfect_ps_deut= |perfect_ps_prot= |perfect_1p_deut= |perfect_1p_prot= |perfect_2p_deut= |perfect_2p_prot= |perfect_3p_deut= |perfect_3p_prot= |perfect_pp_deut= |perfect_pp_prot= |future_1s_deut= |future_1s_prot= |future_2s_deut= |future_2s_prot= |future_3s_deut= |future_3s_prot= |future_ps_deut= |future_ps_prot= |future_1p_deut= |future_1p_prot= |future_2p_deut= |future_2p_prot= |future_3p_deut= |future_3p_prot= |future_pp_deut= |future_pp_prot= |conditional_1s_deut= |conditional_1s_prot= |conditional_2s_deut= |conditional_2s_prot= |conditional_3s_deut= |conditional_3s_prot= |conditional_ps_deut= |conditional_ps_prot= |conditional_1p_deut= |conditional_1p_prot= |conditional_2p_deut= |conditional_2p_prot= |conditional_3p_deut= |conditional_3p_prot= |conditional_pp_deut= |conditional_pp_prot= |subjunctive_1s_deut= |subjunctive_1s_prot= |subjunctive_2s_deut= |subjunctive_2s_prot= |subjunctive_3s_deut= |subjunctive_3s_prot= |subjunctive_ps_deut= |subjunctive_ps_prot= |subjunctive_1p_deut= |subjunctive_1p_prot= |subjunctive_2p_deut= |subjunctive_2p_prot= |subjunctive_3p_deut= |subjunctive_3p_prot= |subjunctive_pp_deut= |subjunctive_pp_prot= |pastsubj_1s_deut= |pastsubj_1s_prot= |pastsubj_2s_deut= |pastsubj_2s_prot= |pastsubj_3s_deut= |pastsubj_3s_prot= |pastsubj_ps_deut= |pastsubj_ps_prot= |pastsubj_1p_deut= |pastsubj_1p_prot= |pastsubj_2p_deut= |pastsubj_2p_prot= |pastsubj_3p_deut= |pastsubj_3p_prot= |pastsubj_pp_deut= |pastsubj_pp_prot= |imperative_1s= |imperative_2s= |imperative_3s= |imperative_ps= |imperative_1p= |imperative_2p= |imperative_3p= |imperative_pp= |verbal_noun= |past_participle= |necessity=(verbal of necessity) }}
All the parameters are optional. Only those forms actually attested in Old Irish should be listed. Multiple forms can be given, either by separating the forms with a comma or using parameters named FORM2
, FORM3
, etc. for a given form parameter FORM
. Given forms will automatically be linked to the appropriate Old Irish section and do *NOT* need to be specifically formatted using {{l|sga|...}}
or with [[...]]
. To add a qualifier comment, use the form parameter name appended with _q
. For example:
|subjunctive_ps_prot=·eperthar |subjunctive_ps_prot2=·érbarthar |subjunctive_ps_prot2_q=''ro''-form |pastsubj_3s_deut=as·berad |pastsubj_3s_deut2=as·robrad |pastsubj_3s_deut2_q=''ro''-form
You can freely combine comma-separated forms and multi-parameter forms, e.g.
|present_1s_deut=du·tluchur, du·tluichiur, du·thluchim |present_3s_deut=do·tluichethar, du·thluchedar |present_3s_deut2=da·thluchethar |present_3s_deut2_q=with infixed pronoun {{m|sga|a-}}
Here, the third person singular present indicative deuterotonic form has three recorded variants, including one with infixed a-, which is noted using a qualifier.
Parentheses in forms will automatically be expanded. For example, if the following is specified:
|present_3s_prot=·ruc(c)a
then the actual table will list two forms ·ruca and ·rucca, each linked appropriately.
The parameters for the conjugation classes are as follows:
|present_class=A I / A II / A III / B I / B II / B III / B IV / B V
|present_class2=A I / A II / A III / B I / B II / B III / B IV / B V
|preterite_class=s / t / reduplicated / reduplicated s / suffixless
|future_class=f / reduplicated / é / s / unreduplicated s
|future_class2=f / reduplicated / é / s
|subjunctive_class=a / s
