This template is designed for spellings that were prescribed by the 1931 orthographic agreement between Brazil and Portugal, but not in any other of the reforms of Portuguese orthography.
If the spelling in question was implemented in 1943 or 1945, the entry should use the {{pt-pre-reform}}
template instead, even if the spelling was originally proposed in 1931.
This template can also be used for spellings that were standard prior to 1911, were superseded, and then would have been reinstated with the 1931 reform.
This template places entries into [[Category:Portuguese forms prescribed by the 1931 Agreement]]
Parameters
[edit]|1= (required)
- The modern-day spelling of the word.
mis (optional)
- Some of the forms prescribed by the 1931 agreement — such as oxytone terms spelled with ⟨í, ú⟩ — can show up as innocent misspellings and are commonly seen as such: misspellings, not old forms. These can get marked by mis=1.
