Usage

Used on the definition line of a patronymic.

|1= (required): The language code of the term. See Wiktionary:List of languages.
|2=: Optional type of patronymic; displayed before the word "patronymic".
|A=: Override the initial indefinite article; defaults to "A". Use |A=a to get a lowercase indefinite article.
|nodot=1: Disable the default display of a final period.
|nodot=2: Force the display of a final period.
|dot=: Override the final period displayed; defaults to ".".
|sort=: The sort key for the page; rarely needs to be specified.

This template adds the page to the following category (where LANG is the language whose code is specified using |1=):
