Purpose
Use this template in the definition lines of Hungarian lemmas (chiefly verbs, often adjectives and postpositions, sometimes nouns etc.) that take a specific case or postposition as their argument. It is often supplied at the end of the line, in {{gloss}}
, followed by words like "(used) with" or "taking".
Parameters
Unnamed
- the particular case (any harmonic variant of it) or postposition
Named
- nocat=y should be supplied if categorization is to be avoided (e.g. in entries of suffixes like -ette)
- pos= the particular part of speech of the entry if it is not a verb, supplied in the singular (verbs are taken as default, so they can be omitted). To avoid having too many categories, which may distract rather than assist, "participle" is replaced by "adjective" or "adverb" depending on the typical syntactic function of the given lemma.
Usage example
{{hu-case|ban|pos=adjective}}
Result
-ban/-ben
and inserting the category Hungarian adjectives taking -ban/-ben.
