el-proper-noun ?


This template displays the headword line for the lemma forms of Greek proper nouns.

For declined (non-lemma) forms, use: {{head|el|propnf}}. For normal noun lemmas, use {{el-noun}}, and for the corresponding non-lemma forms, use {{head|el|nounf}}.

Parameters

Positional (unnamed) parameters

(1) The first is the noun's gender, this can be:

  • m, f or n, and for plural nouns: m-p, f-p or n-p.
  • for the special case of multi-gender nouns like ανηψιών use -, {{lb}} is used for each gloss.

(2) The second parameter should be used where there is a nominative plural form, or alternatively:

  • Use ind for indeclinable terms.
  • Or unc or - for uncountable terms.
  • Or ~ terms which are both countable and uncountable.
  • Or + terms which are usually uncountable.

(3) for a plural for in the last two cases above.

Named parameters
  • head=   —   overrides the displayed headword
  • sort=   —   overrides the default generated sort key
  • g2=, g3=   —   for additional genders
  • p2=, p3=   —   for additional plural forms
  • m=, f=, n= (m2=, m3=, f2=, f3=, n2=, n3=)   —   for forms of a different gender(s)
