This template displays a message indicating that two Belarusian terms, one beginning with 'у-' and the other with 'ў-', are variants of each other (with the 'у-' alternant used after consonants and at the beginning of a clause and the 'ў-' alternant used after vowels), and not truly distinct words. Only one of the two variants should be specified; the other is automatically derived. The specified variant is listed first.
