This template displays a message indicating that two Ukrainian terms, one beginning with 'у-' and the other with 'в-', are variants of each other (with the 'у-' alternant used after consonants and at the beginning of a clause and the 'в-' alternant used after vowels), and not truly distinct words. Only one of the two variants should be specified; the other is automatically derived. The specified variant is listed first.
