Talk:yízííd

In addition two the two verbs mentioned here, Y&M also has a yizííd (1st singular imperf. yissííd, 1st singular perf. yíziid, 3rd perfective yiyííziid) they translate as 'pour it'. Does yizííd exist as a distinct, separate verb, and is there any difference in usage—like how yízííd always has to be used with a form of baa? Ewweisser (talk) 16:56, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

I don’t understand your question. How could it not be a distinct, separate verb? Yes, the usage is different. Yisííd is often used with biih, or with nouns that end in -h (combining form of biih). —Stephen ^(Talk) 21:08, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

You answered my question fully, thank you. I was concerned because I have not seen or heard yisííd much myself (my exposure is very limited already); its forms are rather similar to those of yísííd, especially in the third person; and I did not myself understand any difference in usage or meaning.
