A tornado is (somewhat poetically) a whirling void, but that doesn't make it an idiomatic term for one. This is like having an entry for "green fruit" defined as "an apple". Equinox ◑ 20:31, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

Agreed; the first hits on Google Books don't match this meaning, and it seems more useful to our readers to not portray it as usually meaning "tornado".--Prosfilaes (talk) 23:05, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
