Plural
[edit]I'm guessing the technically correct plural here is stick in the muds, because we're talking about someone who sticks in mud and not an actual twig in some mud, right? Equinox 16:30, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- If speaking to two or more people, that didn't want to participate in a game, and their participation was going to make the game less enjoyable for the rest of the group, I would say: You two are a couple of old sticks in the mud. I would never say "Stick in the muds", and I've never heard it put that way.{updated on Aug 26, 2013}
kosher?
[edit]Removed: often because he or she believes the activity is not wholly kosher. Where did this sense come from - and kosher has a specific meaning, inappropriate in this sense. —Saltmarshαπάντηση 06:02, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
