I suggest this page is renamed to "Er is sprake van", or even just "sprake". If you put it in the infinitive, you have to remove the subject, because subjects go with an indicative. Since there is always a subject in Dutch, I guess it has to be "sprake", so you can't have it in the infinitive. And even if my argument is incorrect, then still "ergens sprake van zijn" sounds terribly awkward and confusing. 94.224.49.243 15:06, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
- I've removed the subject. But we have to leave it in the infinitive because it is a complete verb. It has present tense, past tense and past participle. So to say that it is always "er is sprake van" is wrong. But maybe we should move it to er sprake van zijn, like we already include "er" in er zijn, from which this is derived. —CodeCat 16:52, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
- Oh and there is also "Geen sprake van!" which has no verb at all. So maybe sprake van is the best place to put it. —CodeCat 16:53, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
