[edit]

Is this term actually exist or being used to refer to the locals of Quezon Province? Kali Igba (talk) 07:05, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

@TagaSanPedroAko Where did you get this? I agree that Quezonin is the more prevalent term. Ysrael214 (talk) 07:49, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Ysrael214 This is Spanish term, actually (note non-capitalization). TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 09:02, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
@TagaSanPedroAko Question still stands, where did you get this? Is this actually used by Spaniards? Ysrael214 (talk) 09:09, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I think I just got that from eswiki article for Quezon (which gives this one as demonym). just had a search of GBooks, can't find anything matching search.TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 09:14, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Ysrael214 considering Quezon was a (relatively) recent name, I'll agree this one is questionable. More likely to find Spanish demonyms derived from Tayabas.
BTW, the other well-known provinces have well-established Spanish demonym: bulaqueño, caviteño, batangueño, which were also borrowed into Tagalog and English. TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 09:24, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
@TagaSanPedroAko Yes, but Quezon uses the -in suffix, Lucenahin, Tayabasin, Infantahin, Quezonin etc. Besides, not everything is an -eño, like Pangasinense, Lagunense, Novo Ecijano Ysrael214 (talk) 14:48, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Ysrael214 yes, but again, we're talking about a Spanish entry. TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 19:25, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
