Same as with sauren above: IMO, oxygen is the base form, oxygenen is one of the inflected forms, and the inflected forms of oxygenen are nonsense. --Bruno413 (talk) 08:14, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

- Bruno413 is correct - there is no *oxygenen, but oxygen is indeed an adjective. Compare these Google Books searches: "des oxygenen" (from oxygen; several hits) vs. "des oxygenenen" (from *oxygenen; only hit is our entry!). The same thing is found with other inflected forms.
