Etymology

From Wikipedia, with a reference to the Oxford dictionary: "Slot machines are also known as one-armed bandits because they were originally operated by pulling upon a large mechanical lever on the side of the machine (as distinct from the modern button on the front panel), and because of their ability to empty a player's pockets and wallet as a thief would." Spanish translation

@Froaringus: regarding your addition of a Spanish translation, does tragaperras specifically mean a one-armed bandit (a slot machine with one lever to activate the reels)? I note from our entry that it seems to mean just a slot machine, in which case the translation should be added to slot machine, not here. — SGconlaw (talk) 10:25, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
