Talk:lord
Add topic(Wicca) alternate form of Lord
[edit]Well, someone obviously took the time to add that in but the problem is that in some contexts or for some authors any definition of lord or Lord can be used with the other capitalization. Is there anything especially important or distinctive about the Wiccan use here, or isn't it subsumed by the existing definition 2: one possessing mastery over others similar to that of feudal manor's proprietor? — LlywelynII 09:24, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
Astrological sense
[edit]The OED and some other sources specify that the lord of ~ is a planet; however, given that the sun (at least) seems to be used for this sense, I shifted to a more inclusive heavenly body here. — LlywelynII 09:28, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
Formatting
[edit]As with Lord, user:Embryomystic shifted several instances of template:context to template:label. There may be a good reason for that or existing discussion, but he didn't provide any in his edit summary or here on the talk page.
As with Lord, at the same time he did that, he removed transliterations from the non-Latin-alphabet translation entries. That's pretty clearly bad. Don't do it, and kindly revert any such future edits if I'm not around. — LlywelynII 16:55, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
