Talk:know which end is up
Add topicFuture improvements
[edit]will probably involve restoring past improvements given this edit summary being nearly entirely incorrect (works just fine with that sentence once one is adjusted to the correct pronoun as is standard with our entries; know one's stuff does refer to domains of knowledge but also includes—as here—general knowledge). That said, given prior experience, absolutely no interest in dealing with tkw while he's still an admin. Might eventually end but still hasn't, so no point correcting things like this on my own.
Other editors are welcome to show 'it's not just me' by eventually restoring the accurate content. (Or, if they agree, continue tkw's corrections by removing this as a synonym at know one's stuff etc.) — LlywelynII 12:20, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
- @PUC @Vininn126 Just FYI re the above. I corrected the entry which had been wrongly changed based on @LlywelynII's misunderstanding of the phrase, and they have decided that they want to personally attack me instead of dealing with the substantive issue at hand. The fact is that "He was too stoned to know his stuff" would not make sense, as I suspect you both agree. Theknightwho (talk) 16:27, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
- I assumed based on your revert that was your opinion, sure. If others agree, that's how wiki's work.
- That said, it is still listed a synonym at the other entry. Needless reverts instead of improvements, partial corrections instead of full ones, and particularly the needless personal attacks in the overlong edit summaries (and gaslighting here: I'm focused on improving the entry & you're the one continuing the loooong string of personal attacks: this reply is simply another example of precisely what I was describing above) is just badgering me. It's unappreciated and unhelpful but, if they still keep you as an admin despite the repeated attempts to correct that, you must be doing well somewhere. The reverts, personal attacks, and insults in the edit summaries were entirely unnecessary but most of your edits on the Mongolian entries recently were helpful. It'd be appreciated by everyone, I think, if you focused more on things like that... without the insults and personal attacks. — LlywelynII 10:47, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
- @LlywelynII What personal attacks? What insults? What "partial corrections instead of full ones"? Be specific, beause I don't see anything beyond mild exasperation in those edit summaries, and there was nothing needless about any of the changes I made. Theknightwho (talk) 14:32, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
