I believe the etymology provided on 24 February to be incorrect. The word journey entered English from Old French and, having been anglicized, was later combined with the English -man suffix. This is attested by Collins, so I have inserted this etymology before the previous one, which I shall remove in due course if nobody objects. ARAJ 19:39, 25 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Adjective

[edit]

Can we include a definition for the adjectival form, as in "journeyman work". Does this mean amateurish work or average quality work?
