@Vorziblix, Ungoliant MMDCCLXIV: I'm not sure how to handle the {{egy-glyph}}-enabled part for the purposes of the FWOTD template. For reference to how I normally handle Egyptian FWOTDs, see here. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 00:00, 11 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Metaknowledge It seems like the template is choking on having an embedded image inside a regular link. The problematic code is the very inner code of {{egy-glyph-img}}: for example, [[jdmj|[[File:Abydos-Bold-hieroglyph-G142.png]]]] doesn’t work. I’m really not sure how to get around this, as even without using {{egy-glyph}} we’d need to somehow have an embedded image to display the missing glyph. Switching from [[File: ... ]] links to <img> tags would work, but would require $wgAllowImageTag to be enabled, which seems like a bad idea. Perhaps for this particular word one of the alternative writings, such as
idmiS28
, could be used, but it’s not a general solution. — Vorziblix (talk · contribs) 02:35, 11 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Metaknowledge Alternatively, if you think using the image= parameter is a more elegant solution, I’ve uploaded an image: . — Vorziblix (talk · contribs) 04:02, 11 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
