How does Wiktionary handle separable verbs?
[edit]I'd intended to edit this to correct the examples, but it turns out to be all done by templates. Draufhauen (= daraufhauen) is separable, so the third-person singular present tense displayed, steckt in einen Sackhaut und drauf
, should be steckt in einen Sack und haut drauf, and the past tense displayed, steckte in einen Sackhaute und drauf
, should be steckte in einen Sack und haute drauf. Yngvadottir (talk) 07:29, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
- That's obviously a bug. I'm guessing it's because of the two independent clauses- the module seems to be missing some details on the second one. @Benwing2. Chuck Entz (talk) 17:38, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Yngvadottir, Chuck Entz Let me know if it's fixed now. It needed some spaces between groups of words. Benwing2 (talk) 23:36, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you, that did it. I see WingerBot introduced the templated forms; you're probably right that the problem was it failed to parse the relationship between the two verbs. But I hope I don't run into any more of these, I don't think I'm up to fixing.Yngvadottir (talk) 00:30, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Yngvadottir If you see any more, just ping me and I will fix them. Benwing2 (talk) 00:42, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
