Pronunciation

Which dialects pronounce hour with /h/? Is it standard at all? — Ungoliant ^(falai) 17:42, 21 December 2017 (UTC)

I've never heard of this, and it's not in Chambers or OED, so I'm removing that pronunciation. I do remember an Hercule Poirot film where he mixed up his /h/ sounds and said "'alf an /h/our" instead of "half an hour" — obviously intended as a comical blunder. Missing sense?

Chambers 1908 has "(plural, mythology) the goddesses of the seasons and the hours". Possibly needs a capital H. Equinox ◑ 02:17, 11 December 2019 (UTC)

Should it not read depending on strong/weak pronunciations instead? As in
