In my experience, this phrase has a more general meaning than specifically relating just to jobs. I have heard this all over for years simply to refer to people bearing in mind the appropriateness of something. 92.111.16.130 13:09, 20 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

English. The "Phrase" and "Noun" headings have the same semantics. We have been striving to reduce the use of Phrase as a heading to those cases where the syntactic function is not clear. In this case, it may be that the "Phrase" uses make the term a Proverb, as the usage note suggests. If not, the two L3 sections should be merged. DCDuring (talk) 14:50, 2 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
