Romanian etym

The source says fund + -ici but only provides the meaning "buttocks" for fund, presumably not where this word originated when ota funduq was both right there & already produced Romanian funduc. Currently the only sense for that listed, though, is "a kind of gold Ottoman coin" so the entry just directly links to the ota entry for now until the immediate form of the Romanian source is clearer. — LlywelynII 21:01, 31 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
