US audio
[edit]Is it just me, or is the US audio file broken? --WikiTiki89 17:29, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
- It's blank for me, too. Notably, the file exists, so it doesn't show up as a "broken file link", but it seems to be 0.0 seconds long. - -sche (discuss) 18:02, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

Indian short vowel
[edit]@Overlordnat1 This word usually has the FOOT vowel in Indian English in my experience, which I choose to transcribe with just /u/ instead of /ʊ/ as length is more significant than tense-lax in most Indian languages; the rhyme shows /ʊ/ because those categories are based on RP. - If it usually rhymes with words ending -ʊd then the pronunciation that we list should be /fʊd/ not /fuɖ/. I notice that you’ve also added food to our page of words that rhyme with good (Rhymes:English/ʊd) despite that page already having a usage note about the FOOT-GOOSE merger. Are you planning to list ALL the terms on Rhymes ending in -uːd to Rhymes:English/ʊd? That seems distinctly absurd, pointless and confusing to me! Overlordnat1 (talk) 01:43, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
