Portuguese. An IP editor removed the L2 here and created escavadora; is this a typo? — surjection?15:51, 10 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Portuguese has the verb excavar next to escavar, so it is likely derived terms allow the same variation. Some uses of excavadora: [1], [2], [3]. Here you see both used in the same breath. There is also the synonym escavadeira, really an adjective used as noun (short for máquina escavadeira).  --Lambiam 20:03, 10 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
