@Morgengave Do you think this could be a backformation from eigenaardig. Eigenaardig is well attested since the 18th century, but eigenaard becomes common in the late 19th century (maybe it's attested a little earlier). ←₰-→ Lingo ^Bingo _Dingo (talk) 16:59, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

@Lingo Bingo Dingo That makes sense for me seen the time gap between the attestations. On the other hand, if we don't have sources, we don't know for sure, so I suppose it warrants the "likely" or "possibly" qualifier. Morgengave (talk) 17:02, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
