Romanian word is usually listed as an Albanian borrowing, and Slavic *dolto/*delto (“chisel”) as related to Prussian dalptan (“chisel”), Lithuanian del̃bti (“to cast down”) and sometimes to the Proto-Germanic *delbaną (“to dig, hollow out”). Can this PIE root in *dol-t-eH2 (currently mentioned as "Proto-Albanian" in the article) be sourced? It sounds dubious.. --Ivan Štambuk (talk) 23:16, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
