Supposedly also a Manx verb for "hear", but that wasn't cited, and had long been tagged RFV, so I removed it. - -sche (discuss) 08:43, 1 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

French. Rfv-sense: "inclined, bent", the adjective. PUC18:31, 29 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

This entry is listed with that sense at the French Wiktionary, under "ancien occitan." [1]] Inner Focus (talk) 16:30, 4 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
A Middle French word. In {{R:DMF}} as "Action d'incliner" and "Incliné, baissé". And in Dictionnaire historique de l'ancien langage François, "Ce mot, qui vient d'incliner, baisser, avoit autrefois cette double signification. Nous écrivons encore clin, mais nous le disons plus seul, et il n'est en usage que dans l'expression clin d'œil." Vox Sciurorum (talk) 18:08, 4 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
