aircraft jargon
[edit]The bubbles they poke guns out of on bombers are known as blisters. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_Lancaster#/media/File:Battle_of_Britain_Memorial_flight_Avro_Lancaster_(cropped).jpg for a fine example of a plane with several blisters.
