[edit]I must dispute the etymology that betray is just an alteration of bewray. As much as I'd like for that to be true, the sources that you cite and any source that I have found says that it come from Old French. If you have a source to back up that it is merely an alteration of bewray, please cite it. AnWulf ... Ferþu Hal! 06:12, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
