(Notifying Metaknowledge, Fay Freak, Brutal Russian, JohnC5): @Lambiam Surely this is an error for feminine? The Italian semi-learned descendant arsione is feminine (although the Old French arson is marked as masculine). Benwing2 (talk) 12:59, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
- Yes. I have added a quote. Fay Freak (talk) 13:19, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
- I don’t see that it offers a gender reveal. --Lambiam 13:24, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
- factę et impositę?? (Not the domus, I understand.) Also prisio has “sua” and is feminine in Romance languages, see the translations of prison, including French; as it is nothing but prehensiō. Fay Freak (talk) 13:57, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry, I had overlooked the facts and impositions :), which indeed make the noun here unquestionably feminine. --Lambiam 16:31, 27 July 2019 (UTC)

- The accusative arsionem can be seen here and here, which is incompatible with the neuter gender. Two cites is meagre evidence, though. I did not spot the form arsio in an obviously accusative position or other neutrality-implying forms, but the existence of the proper nouns Arsio and Arsiona does not help. --Lambiam 13:48, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
- Anyway, if one finds a word with this suffix not being feminine, we are eager to attain knowledge of it. Fay Freak (talk) 13:57, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
- Until such time as a neutral citation emerges, it seems best to not only change the gender to f, but also fix the declension accordingly. --Lambiam 16:31, 27 July 2019 (UTC)
