SOP: high sense 2. – Svārtava (tɕ) 03:54, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- Delete—I love these types of entries! Now someone should create ankle-based, ankle-centric, ankle-esque, ankle-like, ankle-related and ankle-specific. LunaEatsTuna (talk) 11:26, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- Keep, apparently it was requested. Often used for short socks; ankle-deep often refers to water. DonnanZ (talk) 13:37, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- Created because it was at WT:REE and people sometimes argue if you remove their requests, but they can't fight an RFD. Heh-heh. We do have knee-high with the same SoP adjective sense. 2A00:23C5:FE1C:3701:EC72:8E86:E5FA:38C 13:39, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, the same old hoary SoP argument. This looks like Equinox speaking, while Luna has the characteristics of WF. DonnanZ (talk) 13:54, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- I will sue you for libel. /not s LunaEatsTuna (talk) 15:06, 19 December 2024 (UTC)

- Delete. I wonder if a "noun" sense could be made, like with knee-high? That'd be worth including, if it exists. Polomo47 (talk) 14:43, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, it does occur; ankle-highs. DonnanZ (talk) 15:15, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- RFD-resolved. – Svārtava (tɕ) 03:29, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- How was this resolved? Though a noun sense was added, the deletion of the adjective sense is an independent matter. I’m not sure if we list knee-high’s &lit adjective sense to explain the existence of the noun, or because there’s a figurative adjective sense. If it’s the latter, there's still reason to delete ankle-high as an adjective. Polomo47 (talk) 03:44, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- Since the non-SOP noun sense saves the entry page from being deleted, it is common practice to mention
{{&lit}}
for the more common SOP sense too. – Svārtava (tɕ) 04:03, 19 December 2024 (UTC)

- A lot of muddled thinking has been going on though, to reach the right conclusion. DonnanZ (talk) 11:14, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
