Offensive and derogatory?

Is this phrase always offensive and derogatory as described? Would it be more accurate to describe it as "sometimes derogatory"? IOHANNVSVERVS (talk) 07:49, 29 January 2024 (UTC)

@IOHANNVSVERVS: it goes out of its way to avoid any indication that it's a state, so, yes, it's derogatory. It would be like Taiwan calling mainland China the "Communist entity". Regardless of one's views of Israel's legitimacy, it's a territory with a government and international relations. Chuck Entz (talk) 14:33, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
