The source that claims it is an Anglo-Norman surname is not in any sense a reliable source. I can't find this claim in Google Books or in my Oxford Names Companion which lists both surnames and placenames. It's not in A. D. Mills' A Dictionary of English Place-Names nor is it in Kenneth Cameron's English Place-Names. It is used as a name for villages in India and as an Indian surname, and is also the name of a stand for the Quran. But it isn't an Anglo-Norman surname or an English place-name. - The entry has been recreated with somewhat different content, which needs to be cleaned up if it is to be kept. - -sche (discuss) 08:26, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
Rahal is also not Anglo-Norman but is a surname used in various parts of the world. Dougweller (talk) 15:37, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
- Accordingly, I've added a
{{rfv}}
tag to Rahal. - -sche (discuss) 17:38, 14 January 2014 (UTC) - I had fixed Rahal when it was created, but the anon reverted me without me noticing. I have now reverted it to my revision (3 edits reverted, despite what the edit summary says). Feel free to readd (and reRFV) the anon’s sense. — Ungoliant (falai) 17:56, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
