FC Barcelona isn't a prominent football team— This comment was unsigned.
- Does this have some sort of relevance to our entry? Mglovesfun (talk) 16:39, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- Well, yeah. The entry says the team is prominent.—msh210℠ (talk) 19:55, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- Incidentally, I never knew football club meant a team until just now. The relevant sense we have at [[club]] reads "An association of members joining together for some common purpose, especially sports or recreation", which can as well refer to a golf or gentleman's club. Should we split off a sense for the "team" meaning?—msh210℠ (talk) 19:57, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- No, the football club is the organization (often a legal company) (including management etc), not the team of players. SemperBlotto 13:34, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
- Stateside, team carries both meanings: the company and the set of players.—msh210℠ (talk) 17:02, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
