@Justinrleung Do you think we can consider 香餅 in Ipoh Cantonese to be the same as 馬蹄酥 in Penang Hokkien? At least I have found them to be very similar. 香餅 in Penang is a different kind of pastry. See the picture here for what a typical Penang 香餅 looks like. I know there is also 馬蹄酥 in Tong'an, but I'm not sure how similar it is to the Penang version.
