Traditional?
[edit]The entry on the first character, 面 doesn't state that that character may also be traditional Chinese. Can it be? If so, can that information be added to that entry? 24.29.228.33 22:48, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- you're right. There're two characters with different meaning: 面 means face or surface, and 麵(麥+面) means noodles. Because their pronounciation are same, 麵 is simplified into 面 in simplifed Chinese, therefore 面 has the meaning of both 麵 and 面.--Wihwang 11:30, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
