[edit]@Tooironic That doesn't look like a determiner, does it? May I ask what is your opinion? Dokurrat (talk) 12:42, 5 January 2019 (UTC) (modified)
- Never mind, I'd better go dig into grammar books now. Dokurrat (talk) 17:25, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- No idea. I was just fixing up the formatting that the previous editor neglected. ---> Tooironic (talk) 01:28, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Dokurrat, Tooironic: I'm not quite convinced that this is really a determiner (or a pronoun, for that matter). Do you have any more similar examples? — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 02:16, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Justinrleung: I can make up some more examples, like 你知道個錘子!, 看個錘子!. Dokurrat (talk) 06:59, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Dokurrat: These examples make it look more like a noun (as opposed to a pronoun) since it seems to require a classifier. I can't say anything about the determiner though. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 07:04, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Justinrleung: Okay! Merci. Dokurrat (talk) 07:08, 7 January 2019 (UTC)

Not a Cantonese word
[edit]Hello. I don't know which template added the category Category:Cantonese terms with homophones and Category:Cantonese determiners, but "錘子" is definitely not a word that a native speaker uses in Cantonese (unless quoting someone). PÑēüḾôňïę1357 (talk) 23:51, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
- @PÑēüḾôňïę1357: Thanks. I’ve taken it away from the pronoun and determiner categories, but since the noun is used in Standard Written Chinese, we can consider this word to be part of Cantonese 書面語. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 00:06, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
