量力而為 is more common

@Wyang, I think 量力而為 is more common (google:"量力而為" 468,000 hits vs. google:"量力而行" 387,000 hits), if not equally as common. Why is 量力而為 labelled as the synonym of 量力而行? — justin(r)leung _{{ (t...) | c=› }} 02:13, 27 August 2017 (UTC)

Hanyu Da Cidian treats 量力而為 as a synonym of 量力而行. I also felt I've only rarely heard 量力而為, much less common compared to 量力而行. I didn't realise the difference in Google hits. Interestingly, 量力而行 (83,700) seems more common than 量力而為 (12,300)/量力而为 (13,000) on Google Books, if those hit numbers are accurate. I'm fine either way. Wyang (talk) 02:21, 27 August 2017 (UTC)

@Wyang: I see. It's possible that 量力而為 is more common in Cantonese (I've never really heard 量力而行 as far as I can remember). I guess we could leave it for now. — justin(r)leung _{{ (t...) | c=› }} 02:24, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
