"卩"

A character which looks very similar to卩 was used as a now eliminated simplified form of 部. The character looks exactly like the bottom component of 节. I think there is a big enough difference between 卩 and the bottom component of 节 that there should be two different pages; just my opinion. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 10:50, 18 January 2018 (UTC)

Problem is, to me, 卩 really really isn't the same thing as the bottom component of 节. So I took it back. Looking forward to updates in character coding. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 06:37, 29 April 2018 (UTC)

Is this is the answer? It seems like 部 was changed to something which is identical to the bopomofo symbol ㄗ in/before the second round of simplification. I saw some material with this character printed on it, and it looks just like ㄗ. New Box:
