Does this Shuowen passage indicate that was formerly used as a synonym for ?

It seems to be the other way around: 珡 used to mean "禁". Looking at the Dictionary of Chinese Character Variants (教育部異體字字典), A02583-001, I wonder if 禁 is supposed to be . —suzukaze (tc) 02:48, 5 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
