- @Eirikr Thanks. According to EDICT it can also be combined with と but I haven't checked yet. ---Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 20:56, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, と is just the adverbial form for all -tari adjectives, just like に is the adverbial form for -na and -nari adjectives.
- All the -na adjectives were previously -nari adjectives. This came from [NOUNISH WORD] + に + あり (classical terminal form of the copula, equivalent to modern ある). Similarly, all the -tari adjectives were originally [NOUNISH WORD] + と + あり.
- Since these come from the classical verb あり, they follow the ra conjugation pattern, as described at w:ja:ラ行変格活用.
- Basic forms:
Classical -nari adjectives Modern -na adjectives Classical -tari adjectives Modern -tari adjectives 未然形 (mizenkei, “incomplete”) -nara daro -tara - 連用形 (ren'yōkei, “continuative”) -nari, ni daQ, de, ni -tari, -to to 終止形 (shūshikei, “terminal”) -nari da -tari - 連体形 (rentaikei, “attributive”) -naru -na -taru -taru Classical 已然形 (izenkei, “realis”) Modern 仮定形 (kateikei, “hypothetical”)
-nare -nara -tare - 命令形 (meireikei, “imperative”) -nare ni nare -tare -tare (rare)
- HTH! At some point, I'd like to take a serious look at how we could expand our template and module infrastructure for classical Japanese. That might have to wait a while, though. :) ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │ Tala við mig 22:16, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks. yeah, I understand, it's the adverbial usage. User:Wyang has great skills in making templates, if he has time and interest. Meanwhile some example with other forms would be great. I'll search for them too. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 22:44, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
